An employer's sponsor license (the license that allows them to sponsor non-EEA workers) can be rated either 'A' or 'B'. On initial application, if an employer is approved to receive a sponsor license, they will always be given an A-rating, acknowledging that they have the systems and processes in place to allow them to meet their sponsor duties.
The Tier 2 General Work visa is a UK work visa, part of the British Points Based System. It is issued to highly skilled workers from outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland, who have a job offer for a skilled job or a job in the Shortage List.
There is only one OSCE, which is the second part of the exam. OSCE is short for Objective Structured Clinical Exam. This is like a hands on practical exam. The first part of the exam is a computer based test also known as CBT.
Part 1 of the exam is called CBT. It is not an OSCE exam. CBT is a Computer Based Test that can be taken across the world including your own country.
Usually, the NHS Hospital Trust that offers you the job offers you the full transition package including support with preparation for the OSCEs. Nirvana also has partnered with a few organisations and can provide this support.
You should take the IELTS Academic examination and should achieve
• an overall score of at least 7
• at least 6.5 in the writing section and at least 7 in the reading, listening and speaking sections.
However, if you take the OET (Occupational English Test), you should achieve
• at least a grade C+ in the writing section
• at least a grade B in the reading, listening and speaking sections.
Under the new rules, doctors, nurses, dentists and midwives applying for Tier 2 (General) visas for UK will not need to sit for English language tests like TOEFL and IELTS as Occupational English Test (OET) scores are enough for them.
Earlier, the candidates had to take OET to register with Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Medical Council, which are the two healthcare boards in the UK, as well as TOEFL or IELTS like exam to apply for visa.
The hospital Trust employing you usually provides accommodation. In exceptional cases where they do not provide accommodation, Nirvana would be able to help find an accommodation through partner companies.
No. The hospital Trust employing you would pay you a salary.
As part of our motto, we do not charge any money or fee from our candidates. We get a small commission from your employer.
This can be done online by visiting: nmc.org.uk/registration/joining-the-register.
The full cost of the practical examination (OSCE) is £794 and the resit cost of the exam is £397.
If the applicant is unsuccessful after their three permitted attempts their application will close. They will be required to submit a new application but will not be able to sit the OSCE again for a minimum of six months.
